Idyllic location attracts discerning homebuyers
28 June 2016

Location, location, location is what we’re often told it’s all about when it comes to buying a home, but what about those lucky enough to already have that particular box ticked?

Well for the Venables family, who had for many years lived in Kinver enjoying views over the river Stour, a location to rival was always going to be a hard one to find – until that is they discovered Beech Green.

Situated in the middle of the rolling Shropshire Hills, the stunning and picturesque backdrop chosen for seven bespoke properties by Floreat Homes is certainly something rather special.

So Mr Venables and his family took the plunge and upped sticks to Neenton as he explains:

“We were bowled over with the beautiful position and also impressed with the design and quality build of the house.”

Lying just a few miles south west of Bridgnorth, Beech Green manages to offer its residents an enviable lifestyle – idyllic countryside with beautiful views on the one hand, whilst on the other, there are good schools, shops and local amenities just a short drive away – not to mention the award winning Pheasant Inn.

“Coming from a village with every amenity on our doorstep, and our daughter being schooled in good village schools, we had to think with our heads not our hearts. With a lot of research we soon came to the conclusion that the move would work. Our daughter is now going to be schooled in Bridgnorth and a free bus will be picking her up.

“The local terrain is excellent for us to pursue our hobbies too. My wife is a very keen cyclist, and having completed Lands End to John O’Groats in just 14 days last year, she has a number of new challenges on the horizon. The area is fantastic for her training. I enjoy walking too and hope to go further and enjoy the beautiful countryside to the full.”

Mr Venables added.

The family was also attracted to the strong sense of community that Neenton has to offer.  Funding from the homes was used to help refurbish a longstanding derelict pub, which is now the heart and soul of the village, as Alan explains:

“We have been made to feel very welcome, and we are very impressed with the way they all clubbed together to buy, refurbish the pub and build the seven houses on Beech Green. We will hopefully be able to contribute back to the community ourselves."

“We also are impressed with the attention to detail that went into the build and the quality of fixtures and fixings that have been used. Having bought new houses before from some of the big builders I can honestly say that Floreat have far higher standards in finish and customer service.”  He added.

All of the properties have now been sold at Beech Green. For further information on Floreat Homes including its latest acquisition in Shrewsbury please visit www.floreathomes.co.uk, Facebook page or view @FloreatHomes on Twitter.
